Google Find My Device (Find Hub): Locate & Secure Lost Android Phones

Google’s Find Hub (formerly known as Find My Device) is a built-in tracking network for Android. It uses a crowdsourced network of over a billion Android devices to securely pinpoint the location of your phone, tablet, smartwatch, or compatible tracker tags — even if your device is offline.

Core Features

If your phone goes missing, Find Hub gives you three main ways to respond:

  • Locate: View your device’s current or last known location on a map. If you are close by, you can make the device ring at maximum volume for 5 minutes (even if it’s set to silent).

  • Secure (Lock): Remotely lock your screen with your PIN or password. You can also display a custom message or a contact phone number on the lock screen so anyone who finds it can reach you.

  • Erase: If you believe the phone is permanently lost or stolen, you can remotely wipe all data from it (factory reset). Note: Once erased, Find Hub will no longer work on that device.

How to Find Your Lost Device

If you’ve lost your Android phone, you can track it using a web browser or another Android device:
